Mr. Wurtz has personally investigated, and assisted in excess of 700 fire / explosion investigations including multi-agency operations involving municipal, county, state levels. He assisted in the organizational development of MABAS Division 20 Fire Investigation Unit. Mr. Wurtz is a facilitator/instructor for the University of Illinois-Champaign, Illinois Fire Service Institute instructing in all phases in the field of fire investigation, education and certification of novice investigators.
