James "Jimmy" Powell

Mr. Powell has over 42 years’ experience specializing in fire origin and cause investigations for the insurance industry, fire suppression/investigations and law enforcement, specializing in origin and cause of fires and explosions in residential, commercial Property vehicles, heavy equipment and marine. He has investigated in excess of 2500 fire scenes to determine origin and cause. Attended and instructed numerous seminars and continuing education classes relating to the origin and cause of fires for the public and private sector. IAAI Certified Fire Investigator, Certified Fire Investigator – NPQS and Licensed Private Investigator. Mr. Powell has testified in State and Federal courts in Mississippi and Georgia in relation to fire origin and cause. He currently investigates fires and explosions in Georgia and Florida. Mr. Powell resides in southwest Georgia and reports to the Orlando, Florida service center.
