Edward Scharfberg

Mr. Scharfberg’ s responsibilities include conducting origin and cause investigations of fires in  structures and vehicles as well as explosions to determine the area of origin and cause. Mr.       Scharfberg has investigated hundreds of fires and explosions and is routinely involved in examination of scenes including photography, evidence handling and collection, interviews of     witnesses, reports, and the systematic approach of scene analysis. Mr. Scharfberg has testified in court regarding criminal and civil cases. Mr. Scharfberg started his career in fire investigation     in 1995 with the New York City Police Department’s Arson and Explosion Squad and has been in the private sector since 2003. Mr. Scharfberg has worked numerous cases with the Bureau of        Alcohol and firearms, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Secret Service.
