Mr. Mandel received his B.S. in Business Management from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a Masters in Business Administration from George Mason University. In addition to these university programs, he was conferred the RIMS-CRMP (2017), RIMS Fellow (2015), ARME (2014) ,CCSA (2007), CPCU (1987), ARM (1990) and AIC (1982) designations. He is a frequent industry speaker and author, and a "Risk Innovator" contributor to Risk and Insurance magazine.
In 2016, Chris was awarded the Harry and Dorothy Goodell Award by the Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc. He was named Risk Manager of the Year - 2004 by Business Insurance and the Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc. He also writes the “Claims Management” column at IRMI and serves as the Director of the Sedgwick Institute.
