A tornado ripped through Nashville early March 3, 2020, leading to at least 22 reported fatalities, many more injuries and widespread damage to multiple businesses and homes. According to reports, the Nashville Fire Department responded to approximately 40 structures that collapsed in and around Nashville with many more reported to be damaged. East Nashville and the suburb of Mt. Juliet were hit especially hard.
The Nashville tornado is one of at least five reported tornadoes in three states: Tennessee, Missouri and Kentucky.
